The unspoilt surroundings of the "Pays de Gex" are able to offer a nature which is truly free and genuine. The natural reserve of the Haute Chaîne and the natural park of the Upper Jura are places in which it is possible to really experience nature first hand: more than 953 species of plants, flowers and trees provide an environment for lynxes, badgers and chamois. The succession of crests and peaks has earned this area the name of the "balcony onto Lake Lemano".
